About College

Govt. Nagrik Kalyan Mahavidhya Nandini Nagar (Ahiwara) Durg is a oldest higher education institution in Ahiwara Vidhansabha located in rural area about 30 km away from Durg collectroate. It is affiliated to Hemchand Yadav University Durg.
The college was established in the year 1985 by Nandini mines private trust and was take over by state govt of C.G. in year 2013 college recognized under 2(F) 12(B) under U.G.C act.
The college offer UG courses in Science, Arts and Commerce streams. PG courses in Commerce. College equipped with 11 teaching department including one PG department and 29 members the college has strong committed and dedicated teaching faculty of 05 PHD holder and 06 M. Phill holders. A number of curricular and extracurricular activities are regularly organized through out the year.
College has provided higher education and guidance to 12 Higher Secondary School at the Ahiwara area. The college has student strength of 889 in the session 2017-18, it holds the unique opportunity of being a mixed bowl of triable & rural student majority of them beings girls students. A large number of students seem the college one holding prestigious and distinguished position. Many of them are serving the society with their significant contribution in the shield of Public Services, Education, Business Administration.


The NSS wings are actively involved in social activities and hold camp regularly in the rural area with the mission of spreading literally and hygiene. They also organized Environmental Awareness Programme.

Girls also participate in above activities. The unit is headed by a trained programme officer of NSS.

The college library is well equipped with 8086 books & reference books. It has book bank facilities for SC /ST students. The college gives a number of scholarship to SC/ST/OBC students sanctioned by the C.G. Govt.
